About the Tradeswomen Image Library Photographer
Dawn Jones Redstone is a filmmaker/photographer who has been documenting the tradeswoman experience since 2004. After working in the trades as a union carpenter, she spent nine years helping women access living wage careers in construction as Training Manager at Oregon Tradeswomen. In 2015, she directed Sista in the Brotherhood, a short film about a black tradeswoman facing discrimination on the job site. She lives in Portland, Oregon where she continues to promote true diversity in construction and record the tradeswoman experience.
